Ranchi. An eminent group of National and International Women Leaders and Policy Makers gathered at the G-100 Summit held at the renowned Hotel Radisson Blu, Ranchi on 3rd March 2025. The aim of this summit of Global Women Leaders was to develop and advance positive solutions for all. The program was Chaired by Dr. Harbeen Arora, founder of G-100 and Women’s Economic Forum. On this occasion, Dr. Arora emphasized that the G-100 forum brings together women leaders and promotes global solidarity for gender equality. Addressing the session, Dr. Epsy Campbell, former Vice President of Costa Rica said women across the world are connected to each other through their challenges and hence can find solutions collectively. Ms. Euphrasie Kouassi Yao, former Minister of Ivory Coast and UNESCO Chair holder addressed the women present at the luncheon, saying: “The time is right, the time is now.”
The event was attended by several prominent women leaders including politicians, social activists and entrepreneurs. Prominent among them were former Vice President of Costa Rica Dr. Epsy Campbell, former Minister of Ivory Coast and UNESCO Chair Holder Ms. Euphrasie Kouassi Yao, Global Chair of G100 Datin Hartini Osman, Mrs. Meera Munda, a prominent figure in Jharkhand politics and a proponent of Tribal Welfare, Women Empowerment and sustainable development, Dr. Neera Yadav, former Education Minister of Jharkhand, Ragini Singh, MLA of Jharia, renowned Indian Archery Coach and former Archer Purnima Mahto, Aruna Tirkey, Founder cum Managing Director, Ajam Emba Pvt Ltd, a pioneering initiative committed to reviving and mainstreaming the rich indigenous food culture of Jharkhand, Usha Jalan, National Vice President, Ekal Abhiyaan, Dr. Mini Sharan, Director, Sharan Path Lab, Sarita Pandey, President cum Director of Bhimbirsa Apaar. She is also chairperson of women’s wings of PHDCCI, Ranchi, Sangeeta Sharma, State level Air Pistol Shooting Gold Medalist, Manita Gupta, entrepreneur, who owns a retail garment business with an objective to empower the deprived rural women and strengthening their financial condition.
Highlighting Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Social Change
The importance of Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and Social Change was highlighted in the group and ideas and experiences were shared with each other. The main topic of discussion was promoting the products of Tribal Women, Increasing women’s participation in business and market based systems, supporting health, sports and indigenous arts, culture and products, etc.
